Signs of the Times. . . Have Changed: ‘Guns and God: Growing Number of Churches Want Armed Security’

Signs of the Times. . . Have Changed: ‘Guns and God: Growing Number of Churches Want Armed Security’

“The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.” Psalms 34: 7, K.J.V.

Beginning after Pentecost, A.D. 1, the church (in contrast to the world), founded upon Christ as the Rock and Foundation by the first Twelve, undergoes its prophesied periods. It is now in its seventh and final remnant period, symbolized as the “Laodicean church,” spiritually lukewarm yet militant.” See on Revelation chapters 2 and 3.

All throughout its different yet successive periods, particularly now in its commandment-keeping, remnant stage, the faithful of each period who kept the flame of truth burning, well-understood and faithfully applied apostle Paul’s injunction, which says:

What Happened to the Movement Linking the Exodus and Advent Movements?

“Thus says the Lord: Keep My justice, and do righteousness, for My salvation is about to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it; who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.” Isiah 56: 1, 2, N.K.J.V.

We saw that the Protestant Reformation Movement was the connecting link between the Exodus in the Old and the Advent Movement in the New Testament.  God commanded the gospel prophet, Isaiah, to declare then and more specifically in in its antitypical application: “Cry aloud, spare not; lift up your voice like a trumpet. Tell My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.”

Second Half of the Seven Thunders: the Moral Fall of the Churches

This Thanksgiving, let’s thank God for religious liberty and helping us better understand what the “seven thunders” were–a delineation of clustered events and time prophecies that would be understood only after the events had accomplished their appointed work. These are: Read more

The 1335 Prophetic Days and the Critical Year 1843

Verse 12 Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and and five and thirty days. 13 But go thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days. Daniel 12: 12, 13, K.J.V.

From Daniel and the Revelation by Uriah Smith, pp. 330-332:

The 1335 Prophetic Days. – After the 1290 prophetic days which considered the interpretation of earlier, “still another prophetic period is here introduced, denoting 1335 days. Can we tell when this period begins and ends? The only clue we have to the solution of this questions is the fact that it is spoken of in immediate connection with the 1290 years, which began in 508 as shown [earlier]. Read more

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK

“It is more palatable to human nature to do penance than to renounce sin.”

– Ellen G. White, 4SOP 383.

Are you finding yourself somehow attracted to the bigly distractions of political theater and stunts sweeping across America?  Do you find some kind of a twisted, guilty  pleasure of watching and listening to the “sounds of war” in both sophisticated and blatant lying, accusations and denials causing confusion that appear to rule the day? The Mysteries of the Seven Churches, Stars, and Golden Candlesticks

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

The Mysteries of the Seven Churches, Stars, and Golden Candlesticks

Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this. The mystery of the seven starts which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lamp stands (candlesticks, KJV). The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lamp stands which you saw are the seven churches. Revelation 1: 19, 20 N.K.J.V.

By nature, whether in the prelapsarian (see Eve’s curiosity for the forbidden mysterious tree and its fruit) but definitely much more in the postlapsarian nature, human beings are magnetized and even mesmerized by things and occurrences that appear strange and sound mystical. “It’s magic,” as they say. As kids we loved to be regaled with fairy tales and spooky stories whether folklore, embellished local yarns or imported ones like Cinderella, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, etc. We never seemed to outgrow it, sad to say. Technology advances has rendered old spiritualistic ideas and mediums even more hypnotically alluring, as in a fatal attraction, because they are ridiculously lucrative as well.

The Seven Churches and Seven Stars of Revelation

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

Biblical Numerology: NUMBER SEVEN – Part 8

The Seven Churches and Seven Stars of Revelation

Lord God Creator and the Lord’s Day.– It was on “the Lord’s day” (Rev. 1:10)—each seventh-day of the week, starting from His completed six literal days of creation, that the Creator rested, blessed, and sanctified the first seventh day of that first week and made the day for man, created the day before, christening the seventh day, and that day alone, with a proper name, the Sabbath day,” as thememorial day of the literal 6-day creation week (Exo. 20: 8-12).  Thus, from the very beginning, following the rule-of-first-mention, none need to be confused or misled as to what “the Lord’s day” refers to. ‘The Divine Method of Prophetic Revelation’

This is an unabashed personal appeal urging the reader to review—and if you haven’t already done so—to read/study Daniel and the Revelation by Uriah Smith. I am currently reviewing it again with my KJV Bible and the references from the inspired pen.

Many students of Biblical prophecy, Daniel and Revelation In particular, have concluded that it is one, if not the definitive book on the two interconnected major prophetic books of the Bible.  The Bible scholar, prolific writer and editor, Uriah Smith, lived and wrote this book over a century ago and his understanding and interpretations have stood the test of time. As introduction to reviewing the seven churches, seven seals, seven trumpets, seven last plagues, and other vital sevens in the Revelation, we first quote his words appearing as the title head of this column, pp. 339-344: Read more

God’s Expanded Number 7 Plan- No. 2

God’s Expanded Number 7 Plan- No. 2

The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, Thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever. Psalms 12, 6, 7, K.J.V.

One of Almighty God’s first spoken and written  warnings to fallen mankind, particularly addressed to those set apart and tasked with the grave responsibility of safeguarding the purity of God’s word that has been “purified seven times,” acting as Holy-Spirit-guided expositors of Christ’s everlasting gospel, magnifying His law as the transcript and standard of His merciful and just character,  and teaching the only plan of salvation devised by the Godhead as detailed in the sanctuary message—the spiritual guardians of the people—is also the same last warning to be recorded after earth’s final merciful warnings given in the three and fourth angels’ messages of Revelation 14 and 18, respectively.
