Prophecies Regarding Current and Still-Breaking News

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“A classic motif of comedy is the small lies that require bigger lies to maintain the deceit, until the whole fraud collapses with the deceivers exposed.”

— Nick Newman, Yahoo Finance, July 20, 2018

Before we dive back to the latter part of our mini-series on the “death and resurrection” of the “Two Prophets/Witnesses” and the “beast that ascends from the bottomless pit” of Revelation chapter 11, we need to be periodically reminded— Read more

The Council of Trent of 1562, Archbishop Del Fosso: How the Foundation of Roman Catholic Authority was Laid

Jesus told the religious leaders of His day: “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written:  . . . In vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandments of God, you hold the Traditions of men . . . All too well you reject the commandments of God that you may keep your Tradition . . .  Making the word of God of no effect through your Tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.” Mark 7: 6, 7, 9, 13, N.K.J.V.

The Seven Churches and Seven Stars of Revelation

The Seven Churches and Seven Stars of Revelation

Lord God Creator and the Lord’s Day.– It was on “the Lord’s day” (Rev. 1:10)—each seventh-day of the week, starting from His completed six literal days of creation, that the Creator rested, blessed, and sanctified the first seventh day of that first week and made the day for man, created the day before, christening the seventh day, and that day alone, with a proper name, the Sabbath day,” as thememorial day of the literal 6-day creation week (Exo. 20: 8-12).  Thus, from the very beginning, following the rule-of-first-mention, none need to be confused or misled as to what “the Lord’s day” refers to. Repetition and Enlargement:

Divine Principles & Laws Seen in Creation and Prophecy

Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God. Exo. 20:8.

“For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that in them is and rested the seventh day. Wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.” v  11.

Some may say, “Hold it right there. You are preaching to the choir who already know all that stuff.” Perhaps. But didn’t Jesus, after His baptism, followed by His victorious 40-day struggle with Satan in the wilderness of temptation, first begin His ministry of preaching, teaching, healing, and performing miracles, confirming Him as the promised Messiah, to His own people, the Jews, direct descendants from the loins of Abraham, the first Jew before ministering to the Gentiles? St. Columba of Ireland was a Sabbath-keeper

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:

When religion is good, it will take care of itself; when it is not able to take care of itself, and God does not see fit to take care of it, so that it has to appeal to the civil power for support, it is evidence to my mind that its cause is a bad one.” –

“Letter to Dr. Price” by BENJAMIN FRANKLIN, sage of the Continental Congress

“Professor Andrew Lang says of them [churches set up or inspired by St. Patrick]:

‘They worked on Sunday, but kept Saturday in a Sabbatical manner.’  —‘A History of Scotland from the Roman Occupation,’ Vol. I, p. 96. New York: Dodd, Mead, and Co., 1900.

“Dr. A. Butler says of Columba:

‘Having continues his labors in Scotland thirty-four years, he clearly and openly foretold his death, and on Saturday, the ninth of June, said to his disciple Diermit: ‘This day is called the Sabbath, that is, the rest day, and such will it truly be to me; for it will put an end to my labors.’ —‘Butler’s Lives of the Saints,’ Vol. I, A.D. 597, art. ‘St. Columba,’ p. 762. Christ’s Forty Days in the Wilderness of Temptation

Christ’s Forty Days in the Wilderness of Temptation

See Matt. 4: 1-11.  Satan knew that everything concerning his prosperity depended on his success or failure in overcoming Christ in the wilderness of temptation. Disguised as an angel of light, apparently in answer to Christ’s prayer, he appears when Christ is at His weakest, most vulnerable condition in His forty-day fast.  Satan submitted Christ to his “very best,”—the subtlest of artifices and force of his powerful temptations to allure Christ from His allegiance to the Father and adherence to the moral law He himself established as the foundation of His eternal throne. He came “to magnify the law and make honorable” (Isa. 42: 21), not abrogate it. Read more

The Fourth Commandment Under a Different Attack

If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy day of the Lord honorable, and shall honor Him not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; and I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the Lord has spoken. Isaiah 58: 13, 14, N.K.J.V.     Read more

The Three Sabbaths

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

Biblical Numerology: NUMBER THREE- Part XLIX

The Three Sabbaths

There are generally three “sabbaths” over which Judeo-Christianity is still currently divided over. These do not include the ceremonial “new moon sabbaths” which were celebrated monthly, not weekly or yearly as with the seven annual sabbaths under the ceremonial law. The new moon sabbaths were based on a lunar calendar. It’s interesting to note that the Islamic Lunar calendar has 12 months also. Both the sun and Read more

Thomas Jefferson, that “illustrious son of Virginia, who finally succeeded in separating church and state in that commonwealth and establishing religious freedom for all men, has this to say of its early history:”

“The first settlers [of Virginia] were emigrants from England, of the English Church, just at a point of time when it was flushed with victory over the religions of all other persuasions. Possessed, as they became, of the powers of making, administering, and executing the laws, they showed equal intolerance in this country with their Presbyterian brethren who had emigrated to the northern government . . . . Throughout these series on end-time prophecies the word “church” refers to the host of worshippers, generally the Christian churches of America but more specifically the once-Protestant churches of once-Protestant America while “Church,” even as the secular media constantly alludes to, is the Church of Rome, or in specified instances, state churches such as the Church of England.
