From the Seventh Trumpet to the Last Trumpet

“The second woe is past. Behold the third woe cometh quickly.” Revelation 11: 14.

“Behold, I come quickly.” Revelation 22: 12.

Clarifications need to be made quickly regarding quickly as used in the above verses. Some make the same application of the first with Christ’s last recorded promise, “Behold, I come quickly,” suggesting that the former means a longer lapse of time rather than commencing immediately. John penned these words, they say, in A.D. 70, and today, two thousand years after, Christ has not yet come. That is not quite quick, or so it seems.

Quotable Quote

“The Word is a power, a sword, in the hands of the human agent, but the Holy Spirit, in its vital power, is the efficiency to impress the mind.”

 E.G. White, Sons & Daughters, p. 30.

The ‘Woe’ Side of the Seventh Trumpet

If you have been lackadaisically lumbering along on the treadmill of prophetic mediocrity, self-assured, Laodicean-like, that you are already settled and nestled in a safe space, just awaiting the amazing that will happen when Christ returns “any minute now,” please be warned: Though appearing to be a good read from many a religious literature, and easy listening sounds emanating from many pulpits in Christendom, this, in fact, is anything but the sure thing.

The ‘Mystery of God is Finished Up’ During the Seventh Trumpet– the Climactic Point of the Great Controversy!

Before zeroing into seventh trumpet, we must bear in mind this bigger picture: the seven trumpets are mated with the prophecies of Daniel chapters 2 and 7. Uriah Smith says: “The blowing of the trumpets by the seven angels comes as a complement to the prophecy of Daniel 2 and 7, beginning with the breaking up of the old Roman Empire into its ten divisions. In the first 4 trumpets [which we covered in past issues], we have a description of the special events which marked Rome’s fall.”- Daniel and the Revelation, p. 475.

Revelation Chapter 10: the Parenthetical Prophecy between the Prophecies of the Sixth and Seventh Trumpets

“Surely the Lord God will do nothing but He reveals His secrets to His servants the prophets.” Amos 3: 7.  “Prophets are subject to the prophets.” 1 Cor. 14: 32.

Not unlike the initially complex “wheels within wheels” that the prophet Ezekiel saw in vision (Exe. 1: 1-21; 10: 2-19, etc.), there are shorter time prophecy clusters contained within the longest time prophecy of the Bible—the 2,300 day (year) prophecy of Daniel 8:14.     Read more

Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XXXIV

A Sabbath-Keeping People

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1: 1. In the bosom of these very first words of the Bible is cradled all the other truths following: the history of creation; the fall of man and its cause, the nature of the great controversy between God and Satan; the plan of redemption prepared before the fall, and the glorious restoration of all that was lost on account of sin—both of man and the whole earth.

Because man alone, the crowning act of creation, was created in the image and likeness of the Creator, it was natural for him to joyfully keep the memorial day of God’s appointment. It was in their nature to love, adore, obey, worship, and glorify their Creator who had made a perfect world and a perfect Eden home for them before creating them. The earth was designed to be Adam’s kingdom. Genesis 1: 26, 27.   Read more
